Perfect Days

The richness of days in a humble life shine in this beautiful film

Wenders turns routine into serenity: cassette tapes, sunlight through leaves, one plant on a windowsill, reading a book, a stable job, a cosy flat. Our protagonist barely speaks and says everything. We get hints at a past with its share of sorrow, and witness a way of finding joy in the little things - a humble life that is rich. Its sentimental without feeling forced. The last shot is a whole performance in one face. What a film.
