A screwball comedy that keeps forgetting to let anyone win.
Third watch and the shape finally clicked: the first hour is a fantasy filmed like an advert, the second is the fantasy being repossessed by three men who are bad at their jobs. Baker never sneers at Ani, which is the whole trick — the film respects her labour even while the people around her refuse to. Mikey Madison plays exhaustion better than anyone this decade. The last scene is one of the great sudden endings; the noise drops out and you realise you've been watching a film about being touched without being handled.
